Joseph Haydon’s professional career has provided him with interesting experiences from
which to hone his skills as an artist. Thirty years as a Kentucky State Police Detective included stints in Executive Protection for several governors. For more than 11 years, he commanded the Kentucky State Police Forensic Photography Laboratory (CSI) in Frankfort.
Currently, he has retired from the Kentucky Army National Guard after more than 40 years as a Special Agent with the CID (Criminal Investigative Detachment) and served as the Provost Marshal working in the Intelligence section. The Army called him back to work as one of their civilian intelligence agents.
As an Art Major at Eastern Kentucky University and with a strong background in photography, his art has taken shape and direction between the severe ice to the Commonwealth and all the strong images formed through the years. Satisfaction is simple for Joseph: “I like to place a very thick layer on canvas and use bright colors—this is what makes me happy.”
Joseph resides in Midway Kentucky
